The Return of North Wales Tech Talks

After an eventful few years in other respects, we're back with the first in-person North Wales Tech Talks event for way, way too long!

Following on from M-SParc's Digidol'24 - Wales' Digital Conference earlier in the day (link below) we have an evening of Tech Talks, socializing and Pizza!

5:30-6pm : Pre-Event Networking

• Networking following on from Digidol'24 - Wales' Digital Conference.

6pm : Tech Talks Part 1

• Jo Hinchliffe - Adventures in Opensource Hardware and Software
  Jo will be talking about his brand new book “Design an RP2040 board with KiCad”, his opensource hardware projects, and a whirlwind tour of maker projects in North wales and beyond (with plenty of concretedog razzle dazzle)
• Sarah Roberts - Getting Started with Code Club (Raspberry Pi Fndn.)
  Sarah, Code Club Community Manager, will talk about how the Raspberry Pi Foundations's Code Club programme can help you inspire young people in your community to become digital creators. You don't need to be an expert in education or have any coding experience to run a Code Club.

6:45pm : Pizza and Networking

7:15pm : Tech Talks Part 2

• Adam Milton-Barker - Automating businesses with Artificial Intelligence
  Adam from CogniTech Systems will be talking about their Central Control Panel For Business Automation With Web, AI, & IoT Systems.
• Dr Peter Butcher - Immersive Technologies, Visualization, and Magic
  Pete is a Lecturer in Human Computer Interaction at Bangor University who will be talking about several projects they have been working and collaborating on.

8-9pm : Lightning Talks and Networking

• Rob Shepherd - Sky Lab / Lab Awyr
• Cameron McFarlane - Massively Multiplayer Neural Network
• Dewi Jones - Language Technologies Unit, Bangor Uni
• Patrick Whetman - The evolution of the WEEDINATOR Project
