DR STEVEN COLBY
In addition to being a patent attorney, Dr. Steven Colby has been an experienced CTO and CEO. He applies his experience to the development of patent portfolios for startup companies.
Dr. Colby received his Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he focused on the development and design of scientific instruments. He has over 40 published scientific papers and abstracts and holds several patents. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Dr. Colby was director of product development for a scientific instrument company. His professional background extends to software and hardware development, website development, mobile apps, manufacturing management, medical devices, electronics, sensors, security, measurement devices, control systems, lasers, mass spectrometry, chromatography, and bioanalysis.
Dr. Colby’s patent prosecution practice covers broad areas of technology, excluding pharma.
