Seattle In-Person AGI Discussion
Details
This is an in-person, open AGI discussion and networking event at our usual in-person venue, the Elysian Capitol Hill Brewery.
I'll try to get a table toward the rear again. I'll display a group poster or something to identify us. Just look for a sign that says "Northwest AGI Forum." This is open to anyone interested in AGI.
There will be a special guest on hand, AGI researcher Renato Faraone, who will be available to discuss his recent publication:
SYNAPSE: Systematic Neural-Symbolic Attention Processing System Evaluation Framework
Renato Faraone, Soumil Rathi, Rachel St. Clair September 24, 2025
Abstract SYNAPSE (Systematic Neural-Symbolic Attention Processing System Evaluation Framework) develops a biologically-inspired framework for evaluating and optimizing attention allocation in modular cognitive systems, integrating neural-symbolic processing while maximizing resource efficiency and cognitive synergy. The framework incorporates key principles from cortical organization, memory systems, sleep-based optimization, and modular hierarchies.
