Woodland Wellness Experience
Our Very Easy Paced Woodland Wellness Walks cover between 1.5 to 2.5mls, during which we slowly meander, stand, & sit immersing ourselves in our natural surroundings.
'Woodland Bathing' 'Shinrin Yoku'
Through a series of activities, we learn to use the senses of: sight, hearing, smell & touch to focus on our natural surroundings. A sensory experience that helps leave behind any troublesome everyday thoughts (mental post it notes), instead grounding ourselves in the 'here & now', thus reducing feelings of stress, anxiety, & depression.
What to wear
Please wear walking boots/shoes with a good grip, as our walk takes in paved and unpaved paths, but also, as we meander off the trail, natural rough woodland with tree roots, fallen wood & loose stone.
Waterproofs may prove useful in case of rain, also some spare warmer clothing, hat/gloves as the seasons progress.
Bring a mat to sit/lay upon & some water
Ensure that you carry personal medication you might need in the top of your bag/rucksack: such as a blue inhaler or adrenaline auto-injector & ensure I know of any needs you may have.
