Just under 8 miles with 450m of accumulated ascent
We will set off from Elterwater, along the river to Skelwith, where we will see Skelwith Force. After pausing to see the waterfall, we will make our way up through the woods to the next waterfall at Colwith Force.
From here we move on to visit Cathedral Caves and onto the very picturesque Slater's Bridge, a traditional packhorse bridge in Little Langdale.
The walk is undulating and will be taken at a gentle pace, pausing to enjoy the waterfalls, caves and views as we go, enabling everyone to enjoy the day.
We will take a packed lunch at one of the featured spots and a well deserved hot / cold drink back at the Britannia Inn after the walk for those who wish to.
