PENDLE SUMMER SOLSTICE SUNSET

An Easy Paced Wellness Walk from Barley. 5.5mls 400m accumulated ascent.

Last Summers walk was very popular & enjoyed by all who came on it so lets hope this one proves just as much fun. REMEMBER: Some who ignored my request to ensure they had plenty of warm clothes didnt and were very cold!
Well take the easiest route possible to the summit of Pendle Hill where if weather permits we’ll have a picnic supper. Hopefully we’ll be able to watch the sunset whilst eating.

After checking for litter we’ll take a more direct descent to Barley where walk finishes.
Bring food, cold/warm drink, dress for the weather, but bring spare clothing, anorak, hat/gloves, torch, spare fleece. Wear boots or walking shoes with a good grip as we are descending in twilight.
Dogs: Not Allowed for safety reasons & you could lose them.
Walkers & Guests must follow & listen to instructions of leader, walk between leader & back marker leader 2.
Should be a fun walk. 😊
LAST YEAR WE HAD MANY LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS THEREFORE

Before booking this walk:

• Be certain you can attend.
• Avoid booking multiple walks with different groups on the same day.
• Only cancel at the last minute if there is a very good reason.
• Frequent cancellations without valid reasons will lead to being unwelcome in future walks.
  If you’re unable to make a walk, please let us know as early as possible so your place can be offered to someone else. Repeated last-minute withdrawals may affect your future bookings, as we try to ensure the system works fairly for everyone.

Please only put your name down if you fully intend to attend as you are blocking others from taking part.
If bringing a guest it’s very important that you attend (essential) as you are blocking two spaces
