A Classic Literary Walk in the English Lake District In the Footsteps of Beatrix Potter. 9mls
Join us on a gentle journey through landscapes that have captivated readers for generations. Beatrix Potter’s profound love for the English Lake District is woven into every page of her work, and there is no finer time to experience it than during the height of spring.
As the fells soften into green and daffodils brighten the lanes, woodland paths and quiet villages evoke the timeless world of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and Potter’s many other beloved characters.
Along the way, Salma will read short excerpts from Potter’s writing at carefully chosen points on the route, allowing the words and the landscape to speak to one another. She will also share historical and contextual background on Potter’s life, her deep connection to the Lake District, and the social, cultural, and environmental influences that shaped both Potter's stories and her enduring legacy.
