WUTHERING HEIGHTS Via Brontë Bridge & Waterfalls 8mls 300m ascent
Details
Join us as we retrace the footsteps of the Brontë sisters from Haworth Parsonage across the wild moors to Top Withins, the remote 16th-century farmhouse widely believed to have inspired Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights.
Our route takes us over Brontë Bridge and past the waterfalls before climbing onto the rugged moorland that so powerfully shaped the atmosphere of the novel.
After lunch at Top Withins, we’ll descend from the moors and return to Haworth, ending at the last of the four Brontë Stones, which bears a poem by author Jeanette Winterson.
Please bring lunch, plenty of water, waterproofs, and weather-appropriate sun protection. A sit mat is recommended for our stops on the moor as we pause to enjoy the views and reflect on the lives and legacy of the Brontë sisters.
No dogs, please.
