Join us for a journey through best selling author, Kathleen Rooney’s ‘Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey’, presented by Northwest Great Books. Explore the inspiring story of a homing pigeon, a symbol of hope during World War 1. The event includes a thought-provoking presentation and homing pigeon release with owner of Snohomish Dancing Doves. This blend of literature and history is a must-attend.

When: Saturday, May 17th 1:30-4:30PM
Where: Trilogy at Redmond Ridge/23225 NE Greens Crossing Rd, Redmond, WA 98053

  1. Go to the library, or buy your copy of Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey by Kathleen Rooney and read it prior to our discussion.
  2. Write it on your calendar and show up on the May 17th.

We will start with a 1.5 hour discussion, followed by a presentation and homing pigeon release from, Courtney Lewis. Courtney is the owner and trainer at a local carrier pigeon aviary.

All are welcome and encouraged to join. This is a welcoming atmosphere, with a trained facilitator that will keep our discussion on track, making sure all voices are heard. Be ready for a deep discussion and questioning. Mark your calendars for this one.
