Summer is upon us so time to get those trail legs in shape and hit some of those trails that have been buried in snow all winter. Beckler Peak is reached by a well graded trail and ends on Beckler’s east summit with panoramic 360° views. The first 1.8 miles are on an old logging road that’s reverting to nature after which the trail enters forest for most of the way to the top. A couple of recent trip reports indicate a few snow patches near the top but that there was no trouble getting over them safely. They may be gone by the time of our hike, who knows.
The road to the trailhead is not getting good reviews. Expect quite a few potholes and rough spots but everyone seems to be getting by. Probably not a good road for a low clearance vehicle.
