There are quite a few trails in the Larrabee State Park/Chuckanut Mountain Park area and the North Chuckanut Mountain trailhead parking lot is easy to get to on good roads. This hike is basically on lowland forest trails with the destination being the rather scenic Lost Lake (which isn’t actually lost). The weather report is a little hard to nail down but expect at least some rain, not sure how much, and be prepared with your normal raingear kit. I don’t expect any snow to speak of but it probably wouldn’t hurt to toss your microspikes into your pack, just in case.

Let’s plan to be at the North Chuckanut Mountain trailhead (right off Chuckanut Drive) by 9:30 AM, ready to hike after that when we’re all geared up.

-Distance: 9.2 miles
-Elevation Gain: 1200 feet
-Pass required: Discover Pass

-Trailhead privy: Unconfirmed. There may be a porta-potty but don’t know for sure. Best to bring your own TP in any case.
