Painting with Light
Details
Cheryl Best will lead us in a discussion and hands-on program where we will get creative as we try different techniques to paint with light. Light painting is a technique where a camera shutter stays open (bulb mode or long exposure) while a photographer moves a light source to "paint" light into the scene, creating glowing lines or patterns within a dark environment.
The result is an image that captures the path of light as streaks and glowing designs against the darkness.
What to bring to this Hands-on program:
Camera: A DSLR, mirrorless camera, or even a smartphone with long-exposure capabilities.
Tripod: Essential for keeping the camera still during a long exposure.
Light Source: Anything that emits light, such as a flashlight, glow stick, or even your phone's LED.
