Making Compost: The Soil Foodweb Method!

Details
The difference between dirt and soil is that soil is alive with microbes! In this hands-on skill share, Dan & Mike will teach us how to assemble a new compost pile with enough microbes to bring dirt back to life!
Dan Waters has been a student of the Soil Foodweb school since Jan of 2023 and has made a dozen or more compost piles using this method.
Mike Shaw spent the last 19 years applying a chemical approach to professional lawn care, and after starting the Soil Foodweb school, he now thinks it is time to let biology have a try!
This is a hands-on learning and work day! Wear weather appropriate clothing, work shoes, and work gloves. Be prepared to get dirty! We always encourage ride sharing, but there is room for about 10-15 cars to park. If this is your first event, please DM Co-Organizer Hillary Miles to introduce yourself :)
Please consider making a donation to this Meetup Group! This group is maintained by a voluntary team who wish to spread the good vibes of permaculture and healthy relationships with the land and people, and your support for helps make this happen. Donations can be made in person to Hillary Miles on the day of the event, or via the donations link on the NWI Permaculture Meetup main page. Thank you!
