PERMACULTURE BOOK CLUB: "Tiny Gardens Everywhere" in Munster!
Details
This peer-led reading group will meet at Mike's house in Munster for four Sundays in person from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM central, starting March 29th. For our first meeting, read the Intro and Chapter 1: The First Turn: A Light in Dark England
Our first book of 2026 is Kate Brown's Tiny Gardens Everywhere: The Past, Present and Future of the Self-Provisioning City. Nurturing health, hope, and community, gardeners in cities and suburbs are reclaiming lost commons, transforming vacant lots into vibrant plots, turning waste into compost, and recreating what was once the most productive agriculture in recorded human history.
A manifesto for the next food revolution, Tiny Gardens Everywhere blends past and present, archive and experience, to offer a truly inspiring vision of the transformative potential of gardening and urban life.
Available in print and audiobook.

"I hope to get more people to consider doing something valuable to their property and home rather than growing grass and complaining about leaves. We are all growing something, and I’d like to learn more about what you’re growing--why and how. I hope this book helps to bring more ideas, and our meetings to bring more actionable plans together." - Mike Shaw
