Northwest Mix Rehearsal and Meetup

Northwest Mix meets to rehearse every Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. unless other events are planned. On Dec. 17, we will have our annual Christmas shows at the Kirkland Performing Arts Center at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Guests are always welcome to join us for rehearsals.

We do have a process for including guests at a pace that is consistent with maintaining high quality musical performances. Prior to joining us in performances, guests will be asked to audition. Our director and a few seasoned members of the chorus will assess a guest’s readiness to perform and join the chorus. Given our current need to prepare a Christmas performance soon, our director will determine whether a guest is ready to join us singing in rehearsals. We have guest music books available to follow along during rehearsals. If you are interested in lessons on singing a cappella, we have a free 6-week course at the Temple on Wednesdays from Oct. 25 - Dec. 6.

We are presently particularly in need of more base and tenor singers to maintain balance with our soprano and alto sections.

A group of us usually goes out after rehearsals for a bit of socializing as well. It's a great way to meet a wonderful group of people who enjoy being and singing together.
