Join us on Sunday, May 25th @ 8:45am at Coyote Wall (trailhead parking) for a run on the dry-side of the Gorge (totally going to rain now that I said something ;-). The parking lot here can fill up pretty quick on the weekends, hence the earlier than usual start time (carpooling a +).

This will be around 12-13 miles with over 3,000 feet of climbing, all on fairly smooth single track and old service/jeep roads. There are some sections with steep cliffs/drop-offs, and one semi-technical rocky section (near the end). If sunny, plan on sunscreen and water. It can get pretty windy as well, so an added layer to block the morning breeze could be helpful. Bingen/White Salmon are close by (3 miles to the west), so you could use those towns to get a sense of the temp/weather for the day. This is an incredibly beautiful spot with much to see for the panorama lovers and geology buffs!

Note: This is tick and rattlesnake country. Try not to frolic in the tall grass (inspect bodies for ticks after). Also, Dionne will be the designated third person in the running line, since the first and second often awaken and startle the rattlers, and it's the third person that takes the venom for the rest of the team. Thanks Dionne!!
