Thunder Crest ft. FL3-Cleator-Koenig (10K Trail Run in Forest Park)

Distance: 6.25 miles
Gain: 998 feet (do an extra jump to hit 1000!)
Start: Corner of Skyline and Meares Drive -see note
After: Well & Good Cafe - Bonny Slope

Let’s thunder our way down Thunder Crest onto Firelane 3 and into Forest Park. We’ll do a lollipop loop that includes cute little Cleator and Koenig trails plus, of course, Wildwood (and Maple and Leif).

Note: We will park in the Forest Heights subdivision (NW Meares Dr) and cross Skyline together to the trailhead.

Here’s the route:

• Start down Thunder Crest Drive and continue down FL 3 | .6 miles
• Left on Wildwood | 1.8 miles
• Right on Cleator |.2 miles
• Right on Leif | .7 miles
• Left on Koenig | .2 miles
• Right on Maple | 1.3 miles
• Right on Wildwood | .8 miles
• Left up FL 3 | .6 miles
