After: Stark Street Station / Soap Box Derby in Mt Tabor

Field trip time! This Saturday we'll run around Mt Tabor, enjoy the view at the top, then grab some coffee / food at Stark Street Station to refuel ourselves while watching the 26th annual PDX Adult Soap Box Derby. This is a Portland staple that you must experience at least once!

For those partaking in the after-run derby-watching, bring a picnic blanket or camp chair to sit on and be ready to laugh and cheer as the humorously decorated soap box cars zoom by.

The run: Mt Tabor is a maze of trails so this will be a "choose your own adventure" run. We'll run together to the Salmon Street entrance, then you'll be set loose with a timeframe to meet at the top. There are people who know the park and may have a plan, or just explore your way to the top. If you think you're lost, just go up! Looking for lots of vert? Join me in some stair repeats on the backside. After we snap a photo at the lookout we'll head back to the start.
