DONT FORGET YOUR HEADLAMP!!

Join us for an early fall run to see the city lights at Pittock. We will be starting from a different location than we usually do: the Washington Park steps at the east park entrance. There should be plenty of parking that time of day on the street but arrive early just in case.

This route will start east of the Rose Gardens and head clockwise on the Mac trail (below the Rose Gardens) and head up to where it intersects with the Wildwood Trail. Once you turn right on Wildwood, you will wind your way through Washington Park, across the bridge over Burnside, and climb steadily up to Pittock Mansion. On the way back, we will take a detour down the Japanese Garden trail to the starting location.

The route:
-Go up the steps, veering left
-Left on the Mac Trail (.3 mi)
-Right on Wildwood (1.08 mi)
-Take Wildwood all the way through the park, past the Barbara Walker Crossing (2.69 mi) to Pittock Mansion (3.5 mi)
-Enjoy the view!
-Return on Wildwood the way you came up, but.....
-Turn Left onto the Japanese Garden Trail (5.25 mi)
-Go down through the rose garden and down down back to the start.
