UPPER Macleay Park to the Winter Garden (Trail Run in Forest Park)

Distance: 5.4 mile trail run
Gain: 1,050 feet
Start: UPPER Macleay Park
After: Pizza Thief - NW Vaughn

For this trail run we will start at UPPER Macleay trailhead, the spot where Wildwood crosses Cornell Road. We'll warm up with a climb to Pittock Mansion but won't stop there until our return trip. Keep going on Wildwood until you reach the Winter Garden at SW Cascade Drive in Hoyt Arboretum. Look for something blooming there year round.

The route:

• Run south on Wildwood toward Pittock Mansion
• Continue past Pittock Mansion parking | 1.1 miles
• Cross SW Upper Cascade Drive regroup at the Winter Garden | 2.6 miles
• Turnaround, run north on Wildwood trail
• Stop at Pittock Mansion | 4.3 miles
• Back to Wildwood, descend to UPPER Macleay Park | 5.4 miles

Afterwards we'll head over to Pizza Thief for pizza, drinks, and good conversation.
