Distance: 6.8 mile trail and paved run
Gain: 168 feet
Start: Sellwood Park @ SE Malden St & SE 7th Ave
After: Slow Pour Coffee Bar - SE 13th Ave

This run takes us along the Spingwater Corridor and through the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. Our destination and turnaround point is the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. The route is fairly flat, has a mix of trail and paved paths, and only one hill when we go back to the start.

Route description:

  • Run down the bluff trail toward the train tracks and the river
  • Right at the trail junction near the lake
  • Run north-ish around the right side of the lake
  • After the lake, left on a trail toward the train tracks
  • Pass under the tracks via the tunnel path
  • Run on the trail nearer to the river, ~0.75mi
  • Left on Springwater Corridor path
  • Continue North to the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, regroup.
  • Run back on Springwater Corridor path, ~2.5 miles
  • Right and left via tunnel under tracks (near amusement park)
  • Right on trail back up to the top and start
