About us
This group is for people in the Minocqua, Rhinelander, Manitowish Waters, Boulder Junction, Mercer, Eagle River, St Germain, and Sayner areas that are looking for outdoor activities, enjoy nature, like to stay fit, be active and explore new places while having fun and meeting new people at the same time! Events range from Hiking, Kayaking, Biking, Paddle boarding, Yoga, Art, and Wellness Events. All levels welcome.

Resist, Reveal, & Respond: Soy Wax Batik & Botanical Printing at The DC!
North Lakeland Discovery Center, 14006 Discovery Ln, Manitowish Waters, WI, USCome spend a creative morning exploring the art of resist, reveal, and happy accidents at the North Lakeland Discovery Center.
You will batik 4 pieces of pre-dyed cloth fat quarters(or napkins) using soy wax and dye. We'll explore simple mark-making, pattern, and the beautiful surprises that happen when wax and dye interact. No previous art experience necessary- just come ready to experiment and play.While your batik pieces are curing, we'll shift to botanical gel printing, using leaves, grasses, and other textures to create layered prints. You'll have plenty of time to experiment and develop many printed papers to take home.
Throughout the workshop, we'll explore a simple creative rhythm:
