Beaver Creek Hemlocks Snowshoe Adventure
Details
Join Jenna and Suzi on a snowshoe adventure at Beaver Creek Hemlocks Conservation Area in Sherman, Wisconsin! Together we will traverse through hemlocks stands, an ash swamp, and maple forests exploring this unique conservation area managed by the Northwoods Land Trust.
Things to know:
-Please bring along snowshoes and comfortable gear to be out on the trail for a couple of hours. (Jenna is bringing her trekking skis, so feel free to bring along a pair of those if you prefer that means of travel.)
Snowshoes or trekking skis are required as boots will sink in the snow on this trail system!!
-Please be prompt in meeting at the parking area so that we can hit the trail shortly after 10A.M. The parking area is rather small, so some folks might need to park along Hwy 182 (parking coordinates are below). Please consider car-pooling, if possible!
*Coordinates: 45.991917, -90.170011
*Google map coordinates.
-We will hike 2-3 miles. Depending on time and interest, we could do both of the small loops (map link), or the group could break off in two and some people do only one. We can decide that day-of! :)
-Along the way, we enjoy beautiful views, look for animals signs, and enjoy the company of friends new and old!
We hope you can make it!
