About us

We are a friendly, relaxed bunch of people who meet up to have a drink and a chat, to catch up, to meet new people, and to have fun. We are from all sorts of backgrounds with a variety of nationalities, hobbies and interests.

We've been running since August 2015, currently running midweek drinks, coffee events, quizzes every other week and many more looking forward to seeing you soon. :)

If anyone wants to organise an event fill free to let the organiser know.

We're mainly in our 20s and 30s but if you are young at heart then you will be more than welcome. We have many members who do not speak English as their first language, so don't worry if you're not a native speaker.

Guidelines:

-Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however if your beliefs or behaviour victimises others and/or makes others uncomfortable, you may be removed from the group at the organiser's discretion.
-Please be mindful of other people's boundaries - harassment is not cool.
- We are a group to makes friends, we are not a dating site.
-If at all possible please include a photo of yourself in your profile so we can find each other at events.
-Make sure to update your RSVP if you can no longer attend. No shows take up limited spaces which someone else could have been waiting for.
-Most importantly, have fun and get connecting!
-If you are aware of anyone acting outside these rules please let the organiser of the event know.

For anyone who’s lost a parent they were close to - recently or in the past few years - this is a regular, supportive space to talk, remember, and connect with others who truly understand. We’ll share memories, photos, stories, laughter, understanding, tears and smiles in a small, friendly group. Very importantly we will also share and explore how we are doing through this journey.

🌿 Honouring a Parent: Fortnightly Bereavement Support & Memory Sharing 🌿

💔 Losing a parent you were close to changes life forever.
Whether it happened just weeks ago, a month, a year or several years back, the grief can still rise unexpectedly, the longing can be just as strong and the ache can feel overwhelming.
This group is for adults who want a safe, compassionate space to share, listen, and connect with others who truly understand the unique pain - and love - of that bond.
Here, we can share our stories, talk about our loved ones, remember them openly,
Come early or on time so you can get a drink before we begin, and join us as we remember our loved ones together ❤️

🕊 Why we meet
We come together every two to three weeks in a small, welcoming group to talk openly, honour our parents' memories, and support each other through the ups and downs of this journey. Sometimes we cry, sometimes we smile - often both in the same evening. There is no pressure to speak; simply being among people who “get it” can be comforting in itself.

💬 Focus: Sharing memories, mutual support, and understanding.
In our gatherings, you might choose to:

Speak your parent’s name and keep their memory alive

Share treasured stories, photos, or moments

Talk about what they went through and how their loss has shaped your life

Vent frustrations and be heard without judgement

Celebrate the love you shared and the life they lived

Share how you're feeling

☕ Practical details
We start promptly, so you’re encouraged to arrive a little early or right on time to grab a drink before we begin. This is a small group by design - keeping numbers low ensures everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.
Please ensure that if you have signed up for this event and you can no longer make it, edit your reserve! Spare a thought for someone else who might like to attend as spaces are limited.
We will also know who to look out for.
I normally put a note in the event comments section where we are sat but there isn't a good reception in the cafe so when you arrive, if you aren't sure or can't see us, ask at the bar and they will kindly point you in the right direction.
