ICENI (Norwich) v. Cambridge - Shoot an American Baseball Match in Norwich!

Details
If you've never seen a real American-style BASEBALL GAME at close hand, then you're in for a real treat!
This coming weekend on Sunday 30 August, we will meet in the car park at the Hewett Academy School at 10.30 am (Cecil Road entrance) and watch the fantastic Norwich-based ICENI Baseball Team take on Cambridge in an exciting, action-packed league match.
ICENI invited us to take some action/sports photographs during the game. We will have special access around the pitch (and behind the net!) during the match. Both teams have consented to have their photographs taken.
We will also chat to some ICENI players before, and during the game (when they are not 'pitching'!) One of the ICENI Team used to play for Great Britain, so it's also a chance to meet a British Baseball legend, and ask him to decipher the rules for you!
For this workshop, bring your camera and your enthusiasm! If you have a telephoto zoom function on it, that will be useful. If you use interchangeable lenses on your DSLR, bring the longest lens you have. Anything from 200mm or longer would be great. Remember, the longer the focal length of the lens, the more likely you will need to stabilise the camera when you are shooting, using a tripod. A monopod is great for sports photography as you can be easily mobile and move to where the action is!
NOTE : The weather forecast is set fine for Sunday morning, but if it rains heavily, they will cancel the game. I will send out a notification via our Facebook group if this should happen, and also via the Meetup.com option, although I think Facebook is more reliable for alerts, so if you're not already a member of the Facebook group, either message me your mobile number so I can contact you that morning, or join the Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/norwichphotographywalkaboutsworkshops
