Sunday 10 May TERRY'S MEMORIAL LINEAR WALK FROM ACLE TO G YARMOUTH 11.5 miles.
Details
Norwich Group Sunday walk.
Pls note OUR GROUP DOES NOT REQUIRE bookings! Just turn up on the day!
Roulla, Maggie W & Gerald B have chosen this 11.5 mile linear walk in memory of our dearest friend Terry L, who led a slightly longer version of it for our group on 8 June 2024. We will be LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 10:00. This is a linear walk from Acle to Great Yarmouth, returning to Acle by bus or train. The walk will be through Acle and then onto Tunstall, Halvergate and then across the marshes to walk alongside Breydon Water and onto the Market Gates area in Gt Yarmouth. Registered assistance dogs only. Pls see our dog policy on our website, documents tab. Thank you.
Please car share as much as possible for all of our walks. Many thanks
Full directions & google map with exact location is enclosed.
A packed lunch and a drink will be required along with clothing and footwear suitable for walking in the countryside including for wet weather. Walking with a warm and friendly group of like-minded people who love to walk and chat.
NORWICH RAMBLERS is one of the many Ramblers groups in the country, and one of 10 groups in the Norfolk area. Only Norwich, Hike Norfolk & Legstretchers publish their walks on Meetup. The Norfolk Ramblers group walks are published in our printed newsletter which is sent to our members, and is also published in the national Ramblers website, where you can find the walks for the other groups.

Our group does not tend to use Meetup, so although there maybe very few people signing up for a walk on Meetup, our walks are very well attended.
Besides the meetup group, you will also need to join Ramblers if you would like to walk with any of the groups. Of course we welcome new members, so you could try any group up to 3 times before joining Ramblers. We would encourage you to join one of the local Ramblers group rather than the Area Ramblers, although with the membership you can walk with any group in the country, and you can change the group anytime. Further information about joining can be found here:
