Norwich Group Sunday walk.

Michael & Rose will be leading this 10.9 mile walk from Caistor St Edmunds Wash Lane free car park LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 10:00. Pls see the notes on the location paragraph, as this is a small car park & may be quite busy with other walkers. The walk will start by heading towards the Roman town of Venta Icenorum, following a short section of the River Tas. The walk passes through Stoke Holy Cross, Upper Stoke, Arminghall and High Ash Farm. There is a mixture of mostly good footpaths and quiet country lanes including part of Boudica Way. Car sharing is recommended as parking is limited. Registered assistance dogs only on this walk. Please see our dogs policy on our website, documents tab, for more information.

A packed lunch and a drink will be required along with clothing and footwear suitable for walking in the countryside including for wet weather. Walking with a warm and friendly group of like-minded people who love to walk and chat.
NORWICH RAMBLERS is one of the many Ramblers groups in the country, and one of 10 groups in the Norfolk area. Only Norwich, Hike Norfolk & Legstretchers publish their walks on Meetup. The Norfolk Ramblers group walks are published in our printed newsletter which is sent to our members, and is also published in the national Ramblers website, where you can find the walks for the other groups.

Our group does not tend to use Meetup, so although there maybe very few people signing up for a walk on Meetup, our walks are very well attended.
Besides the meetup group, you will also need to join Ramblers if you would like to walk with any of the groups. Of course we welcome new members, so you could try any group up to 3 times before joining Ramblers. You will need to decide which of the local Ramblers group you would like your name under, although with the membership you can walk with any group in the country, and you can change the group anytime.
