Join us membership free for the first year. A friendly, welcoming group for people who enjoy meeting others, making new friends and getting out and about. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and old friends too. From meals, music and theatre to walks, shows, trips and trying something different, there’s plenty to enjoy. We love exploring our local villages, promenades, and woodlands together! To keep our walks safe, legal, and enjoyable for everyone, please note the following guidelines before signing up:
* Organiser Role: This group is run by informal volunteers. We plan the routes to the lunch venues, but we are not professional tour guides or outdoor experts. Every participant is responsible for their own safety, footing, and well-being during the stroll.
* Terrain & Fitness: Our walks are short, casual strolls, but they can occasionally include uneven ground, tree roots in woodland areas, or wet surfaces on promenades. Please wear appropriate footwear and ensure you are comfortable walking the distance.
* Dogs Welcome: Friendly dogs are always welcome on our outdoor strolls! However, owners are entirely and legally responsible for their pets at all times. Dogs must be kept under close control (and on a lead where required by local councils, near wildlife, or inside the lunch venues). Please ensure your pet has third-party liability cover (often included in standard pet or home insurance) just in case of any accidental trips or bumps.
* Lunch Venues: We simply host the walk to the restaurant or pub. Any food, drink, or individual venue policies are the sole responsibility of the venue and the individual member.
