June Walk

Details
Hello everyone,
We’re a relatively new walking group (though I’m not sure how long I can keep calling us that!) and we meet on the first Saturday of each month to explore different parts of Norwich on foot.
Our walks are always free and open to everyone. While we do plan a route for each walk, the main aim is simply to get our bodies moving, spend time with others, and enjoy our surroundings together.
So far, we’ve walked the Riverside Walk heading west from the train station, and we’ve also made a start on the Marriott’s Way, reaching as far as Anderson’s Meadows.
This month, we’ll be meeting in the Waitrose car park on Church Lane and heading out on the Yare Valley Walk towards the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. Once there, we’ll take a short tour of a few selected sculptures from the Sculpture Park.
After that, we’ll walk back to Waitrose together. You’re, of course, welcome to stay at the Sainsbury Centre, they offer a free tour at 2pm of their current exhibition, Will the Sea Survive Us?, if that interests you.
A few practical bits:
* If you're driving, Waitrose allows 3 hours of parking.
* If you're walking from Norwich city centre, it's about a 1-hour walk to Waitrose—a great warm-up!
* The walk to the Sainsbury Centre should take around 45 minutes, and our mini sculpture tour about 30 minutes, so we’ll be back in good time for parking limits.
This walk was suggested by Mike, who joined us last time—thanks Mike! If you have ideas for future walks, activities, or anything else that might be fun, please do share. I’d love for the group to grow organically, based on everyone's input.
We’ll meet by the benches in the Waitrose car park, they’re easy to spot. If it’s your first time joining, I’ve got a beard and I’m the one in my profile picture, so come say hello. Hopefully see you then!
All welcome :)
Dogs welcome too!
