Monthly meetup group for parents and our kids in the Norwood/Foxboro/Dedham/Westwood area.
As a single dad who moved from the Metrowest area to Norwood after my divorce in 2021, I’m always trying to find places to take my daughter (5 y.o.) where she can make new friend. Her school friends are in her mother’s town, and I think she’s getting bored spending time with her old man. I take her to playgrounds, trampoline parks, etc., but I have no idea how to go about spotting the other parents with kids her age, and even if I do, it always feels low key awkward to approach.
So I figured what the hell, might as well start a group myself 🤷🏻♂️
Our goal is to meet once a month (or more if it’s successful) at a local park, playground, trampoline park, ice cream shop, etc. It’ll be a good chance for the kids to play and make friends, and for us parents to connect as well.
This group is open to all parents: single, separated or divorced! But for my daughter’s sake, I’m hoping to meet families with kids around her age (4-7 range) so she can make friends.
Anyway, hope this catches on and I look forward to meeting any and all!
