What we’re about

All of us can feel bad from time to time or all of us know someone who has struggled/struggles with mental health issues. We are not trying to be problem solvers, let's have some open-ended discussions where everyone can gain some insights. And, anyone who cares about this cause is welcome to join, there are no prerequisites.
Think of this as a non-judgemental space to meet people, share your story (ie. if you feel up to it) and listen to others.
We have a regular meetup happening on the third Wednesday of every month at Cafe Glück (Palmstraße.4, 80469, Munich) from 19:00 Uhr where we have coffee, talk about the weather, share personal experiences, exchange tips, share info about health insurance, English therapy in Munich and the like.

-- Our discussions are in English.
-- Listeners are always welcome too.
Some FAQs
--------------
1. "I haven't experienced depression or anxiety but I would like to know more. Can I still join the meetups? "
Yes, most certainly. One of the main objectives of this group is to raise awareness about mental health issues in general, so it is great to see that you care.

2."I don't clearly know what I expect from this meet-up. Guess I am just curious"
Honestly, we are also making things up as we go. The group is relatively new and hence the future of this meetup is quite open-ended, It is great that you are curious, maybe we can figure out things together?

3. "I am not sure if I am comfortable sharing my experiences with a group of people that I don't know"
If you don't want to share anything with the group it is perfectly fine. We don't usually go around the circle or put anyone in the spot, so feel free to come and see if you feel comfortable or not.

4. "Do you all know each other by now? Maybe it will be weird if I come now?"
Some of us have been attending regularly for a while, but others keep changing. So far there has been at least one to two new members at every meeting.

5. Do you provide any professional support?
No, we do not. It is not something we are planning to do with this group.
