Outdoor portrait photography mash up - quick!

Details
Hi all,
Location now selected. Provides different backdrops - industrial (Tramsheds), park/ trees, aquaduct, Anzac Bridge +++).
First 30 mins for us photogs only to discuss portrait techniques.
---------------------------------------------
This Saturday I am hosting another Meetup to take good/ better portrait shots of the many terrible dating profile pics.
So that is the theme. Not 'professional' shots like for LinkedIn.
I have 30 'models' signed up but expect at best 50% turn out, I can really only cover a few people so am asking for 'help' from those of you who want to hone your portrait photography skills.
Here you can find the spiel from the other Meetup so you know where my thoughts lie:

Consider background, shadows, lighting, shooting angle...
Bring your dSLR/ mirrorless etc and the most suitable lens(es) - no fixed answer, anywhere 50 - 100mm I'd say. And I suspect I will use my phone for a shot or 2 also. Generally the more bokeh, the better... (large aperture, longer focal length) I dislike busy background distractions in portraits a lot.
See you Saturday - at a distance 😊
