Not That Kind Of Dungeon – D&D Beginner Adventure Night

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our first event.
Join us for an evening of storytelling, adventure, and dice rolling as we dive into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.
This session is designed to be friendly, relaxed, and welcoming to newcomers (but also for veterans), so if you’ve ever been curious about D&D but didn’t know where to start, this is a great chance to try it. So everyone is welcomed.
We’ll be gathering at Café do Armazém for a 3.5-hour session of adventure.
Games will be run in English, but if everyone understands Portuguese then we will run it in Portuguese.

Schedule
First 30 minutes – Introduction

• Quick overview of what Dungeons & Dragons is
• Explanation of the basic rules and gameplay
• Help with characters and answering any questions. Feel free to bring your own character or we will provide you with some.

Next 3 hours – The Adventure
A guided one-shot story where your choices shape the outcome, with a mix of roleplay, exploration, and exciting encounters. There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with other players and immerse yourself in the story.

What to bring:

• Yourself and your imagination
• Dice if you have them (we’ll have extras if you don’t) and characters sheets (we will provide if you don't have them)
• Buy snacks or drinks from the café to support the venue, if possible

The space:
Very cozy and familiar place within Arroios. The owners are welcoming and they have an amazing table to play.

Whether you’re completely new to tabletop RPGs or just looking for a fun group to roll dice with, you’re welcome at the table.

Junta-te a nós para uma noite de storytelling, aventura e dados a rolar, enquanto mergulhamos no mundo de Dungeons & Dragons.
Esta sessão foi pensada para ser amigável, descontraída e acolhedora para iniciantes (mas também para jogadores mais experientes). Se sempre tiveste curiosidade sobre D&D mas nunca soubeste por onde começar, esta é uma ótima oportunidade para experimentar. Toda a gente é bem-vinda.

Os jogos serão em inglês, mas se todos os participantes compreenderem português, poderemos jogar em português.

Programa
Primeiros 30 minutos – Introdução

• Breve explicação do que é Dungeons & Dragons
• Explicação das regras básicas e de como funciona o jogo
• Ajuda com personagens e resposta a quaisquer dúvidas

Podes trazer a tua própria personagem, ou então nós fornecemos personagens prontas a jogar.

Próximas 3 horas – A Aventura
Uma aventura one-shot guiada, onde as tuas escolhas influenciam o desenrolar da história.
Haverá uma mistura de roleplay, exploração e encontros emocionantes, com várias oportunidades para interagir com os outros jogadores e mergulhar na narrativa.

O que trazer:

• Tu e a tua imaginação
• Dados, se tiveres (se não tiveres, teremos extras)
• Fichas de personagem, se já tiveres uma (também podemos fornecer)

Se possível, compra snacks ou bebidas no café para apoiar o espaço.

O espaço
Um espaço muito acolhedor e familiar em Arroios.
Os donos são muito simpáticos e o local tem uma mesa excelente para jogar.

Quer sejas completamente novo nos RPGs de mesa, quer estejas apenas à procura de um grupo divertido com quem rolar dados, serás muito bem-vindo à mesa.
Os lugares são limitados, por isso confirma a tua presença se quiseres juntar-te à aventura.
