Would you like to meet other dog partners while hiking up to 3 different day hikes? Want to start backpacking with your dog?

Join us on July 17 – 19 as we meet other fellow doggies and their owners. This meetup will potentially satisfy qualifying your doggie partner to accompany you on future OBNDY backpack trips (where allowed).

Our Meetup will start by camping at Woods Lake in the El Dorado National Forest. I will reserve a double site or 2 single sites for 12 people and 6 dogs. Cost will depend on how many signup ($15 pp if we get 12 people). These campsites are tent only with water available. No electricity and moderate cell coverage in this area. You do not have to have a doggie companion to join us. All are welcome.

Itinerary (Please join us for 1, 2, or all 3 Hikes):

  • Friday afternoon (1pm) Hike to Granite and Amy Lakes near Silver lake 2.5 mile loop Dinner at camp
  • Saturday All Day Hike to Emigrant Lake near Caples Lake 8.5 mile in and out trail (Breakfast at Camp, Lunch at the Lake, Dinner at Camp)
  • Sunday Late Morning Hike to Winnemucca Lake 5 mile in and out trail (Breakfast at Camp, Lunch at the Lake)
