The Ottawa Jazz Orchestra concludes a smashing season with a show of musical mirth and mayhem featuring pianist Mike Manny and guitarist Magnus Paulson. These two giants of the Ottawa jazz scene have, incredibly, never performed together before. This makes us doubly delighted to bring them together as part of a seven-piece ensemble performing an eclectic mix of supercharged swinging standards with unique arrangements written just for this show. Join us for the fun and festivities!

Josephine Baker (1906-1975) (see another photograph image, below) was an American-born French dancer, singer and actress also known as an activist against racial injustice, and spy for the French resistance during World War II, "transporting confidential information by writing with invisible ink on music sheets." Show up at 7:30pm and I’ll wait for you until 7:40 before going in myself. It’s a lovely venue with tables for four. We’ll get a few of those in a bunch and enjoy a drink before the performance.
