Hey, Note Lovers, it's Carolyn here. Come join us for a summer night of blues, roots, soul, and groove with Taj Mahal & The Phantom Blues Band at the Bronson Music Theatre.
Taj Mahal is one of the great living links between old blues traditions and a much wider world of sound — folk, Caribbean rhythms, reggae, soul, R&B, and warm, easy-moving roots music. This is not just a “blues concert” in the narrow sense. It should feel like a big, seasoned, joyful band with deep musical history behind every note.
The Phantom Blues Band has a long history with Taj Mahal, so this should be a real band show rather than a casual backing-group situation. Expect groove, horns, soulful playing, and that relaxed but masterful feeling that comes from musicians who have lived inside this music for decades.
This is a good one if you like blues, roots music, jazz-adjacent groove, classic musicianship, and warm summer concert energy.
