Join us for an evening with the Ottawa Jazz Orchestra celebrating the music of Dave Brubeck — one of the most distinctive and beloved figures in jazz.
Brubeck’s music is famous for being both sophisticated and instantly enjoyable: cool, swinging, elegant, and rhythmically adventurous. Many people know him through classics like “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo à la Turk,” with their unusual time signatures and unforgettable grooves. His music is a perfect entry point for people who are newer to jazz, but it is also deeply satisfying for serious jazz listeners.
The Ottawa Jazz Orchestra brings together excellent local musicians in a full jazz-orchestra setting, so this should be a rich, energetic live-music evening — polished, accessible, and fun.
