May Nottingham Board Game Meetup

“Hey, Friend!” is a Nottingham board game Meetup hosted by local gaming nerds, Carley and Ross.

Join us from 2pm - 8pm at Broadway Cinema. We will be in the upstairs Mezz Lounge for six hours of board games and good humans.

Please only mark yourself as attending if you plan to attend. If you are on the waiting list, you will automatically be added to this event should space become available. If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the event.

Hosts, Carley and Ross, will bring board games to the event, but highly encourage you to bring any of your own games you are excited to share.
The May game selection will include: Wingspan, Blood Rage, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Azul, River of Gold, Pandemic, Cascadia, Great Western Trail, Lost Ruins of Arnak, Campy Creatures, Potion Explosion, Bunny Kingdom, Harmonies, High Society, Skull, Port Royal, Incan Gold, No Thanks!, Flip 7 and Just One.

For refreshments, the Broadway Café Bar serves food and drinks with a menu available online, and the venue is fully accessible.

Event Guidelines

1. We have a strict ‘over 18 only’ policy with no exceptions.
2. Only registered and confirmed attendees will be granted admission.
3. We require that every group member uses their real name (first name is fine) and has a clear picture of themselves on their profile.
4. This event is for socializing, making friends, and gaming, not a singles event. All conduct at this event should reflect this purpose.
5. The hosts will play games and assist in teaching where possible, but they cannot guarantee that someone will be available to teach.
6. We encourage attendees to learn or bring a game they may be interested in playing.
7. Brand new gamers are welcome, and attendees should be open to learning new games to participate at this event.
8. Please treat all games with care. When you’ve finished a game, check all components are present, returned to the box as they originally were, and put the game back where you found it.
9. We don't allow play testing of prototypes and/or the promotion of unpublished games.
10. Play nice. We understand play can come with playful language and table ‘trash talk,’ but be mindful that not everyone may share your views and humour. Be kind. Misunderstandings can occur, but if you are asked to stop, then stop.
11. If you harass others in the venue, you will be banned from the group. This includes violence, threats of violence, and violent language. This includes sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or ableist language or jokes. This also includes sexualised comments, jokes, or advances, as well as inappropriate physical contact. If you feel you are being harassed or are uncomfortable, please contact one of the organisers and we will take appropriate action.
12. Please respect all rules of Broadway Cinema. Whatever they are. We use the venue at their discretion.
