Riverside walk: West Bridgford to Holme Pierrepont

Join us for a relaxing riverside walk from West Bridgford to Holme Pierrepont, a beautiful and leisurely route that takes us along the River Trent and into open green spaces.

Holme Pierrepont Country Park – home of the National Water Sports Centre – sits in 270 acres of peaceful countryside, just on the edge of the city. It's a lovely spot to explore, and once we arrive, we'll take a break at the on-site café for drinks or snacks before heading back.

This is a gentle walk, suitable for most levels, and an excellent opportunity to get outside, enjoy nature and connect with others. The total distance is approximately 4 to 5 miles, depending on the exact route taken.

Meeting point: McDonald’s on Radcliffe Road (West Bridgford)

By bus: From Nottingham City Centre, catch the number 11 bus to Lady Bay and get off at Fox Road – McDonald’s is just nearby.

Feel free to bring a friend, wear comfy walking shoes, and enjoy some time out in good company. Bring plenty of water if it's hot.
