Car/Bus Ramble: Epperstone to Halloughton

What we will do: Starting point: From outside Epperstone Church. Please note that this walk will start PROMPTLY at 10am or as soon as the bus arrives. This is to ensure we are in time to catch the last bus back into town. Lovely walk from Epperstone village to Halloughton and back. Lunch: Medium walk - Picnic lunch.
Short walk – ‘The Kitchen at the Cross Keys’ has been closed for 6 months and still is for the moment, but the 'Bumbles' tea room is still open and has been refurbished by the new owner. The tea room have use of a seated garden area over the road.

Directions by car: Street parking opposite Epperstone Church. Postcode NG14 6RP. Grid Reference 651 486. Car sharing can be arranged. Directions by bus: Catch the NCT bus 26 to Southwell leaving King Street, Nottingham at 9.10am; get off at the main stop in Lowdham. Then round the corner on the left to catch the 747 Notts Connect minibus arriving around 10am at Epperstone. The return bus is the last one leaving at 13.46. Please check bus timetables nearer the time.

Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website.

What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk. Wear proper walking boots, bring a rucksack with liquid refreshment and some waterproof clothes depending on the weather forecast for the day.
