Car/Bus Ramble: Risley to Dale Abbey Circular

What we will do: Arrive 10.15am for 10:30am start. Walk length about 5.5 miles. Starting from the Risley Park Public House. A pleasant undulating walk, using unmetalled roads tracks and footpaths across fields. Pub lunch at the Risley Park Public House.

Directions by car: Risley Park Public House, Postcode DE72 3SS, OS grid ref SK 45810 35664. Car parking at Risley Park Pub or road parking nearby.
Directions by bus: Trent Barton i4 from Nottingham, Friar lane to Derby (buses every twenty minutes – journey time about half an hour) and alighting at the Risley Park Public House bus stop. Do not catch an i4 bus to Sandiacre. Best bus to catch is the 9.27am from Nottingham, arriving at the Risley Park Pub Stop at 10.05am.
Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website.

What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk. Wear proper walking boots, bring a rucksack with liquid refreshment and some waterproof clothes depending on the weather forecast for the day.
