Weekly Meeting: The Powerful Way To Beat Depression & Anxiety: A Simple Guide

Details
This week in our online meeting we'll be looking at the powerful, highly effective, and remarkably simple ways in which mindfulness and meditation can help us to calm a busy mind and better manage our thoughts and emotions - especially our difficult thoughts and emotions.
And we'll be doing this with the help of three leading experts in this field: Dr Richard Chambers, a clinical psychologist and internationally-recognised expert in mindfulness of Melbourne University Medical School, Jon Kabat-Zinn (the ‘father’ of the modern, secular mindfulness movement in the West) and Vidyamala Burch, who is one of the UK's foremost mindfulness teachers.
During the evening we'll get expert insights into how to better manage our often turbulent mind and our frequently surging emotions, and we'll explore a range of practical strategies (that anyone can implement amidst the busyness and pressures of everyday life) to find calm and peace, even at times of stress and worry.
In the course of the meeting, Richard, Jon and Vidyamala will share there knowledge with us in some short but inspiring video talks, and we'll also learn about the fast-acting techniques and methods of mindfulness that can help us to overcome the pain and frustration of a busy mind caught-up in negative thought loops.
In addition, our meeting will include some relaxing and blissful periods of guided meditation, and Shaun Glossop (a noted local mindfulness teacher and our Group co-ordinator) will be on-hand to host the evening and help guide us through the night's topic in a down-to-earth and easy-to-understand way.
So, all together it should be a really great night!
