Evening Bike Ride from Beeston Marina Area

More Pedal and Pub than Tour de Nottingham this ride does nonetheless go right through the centre of town but on quiet byways and canal towpaths so you would hardly notice. Always a lovely ride.

The aim is a bike ride for all so any old bike will do as long as the tyres blow up and at less than 20k (not miles) it doesn't matter, all are welcome. We are not entirely on tarmac but anything from road and mountain bikes , e bikes and even balance bikes will probably make it.

Please bring a helmet and if you can a spare inner tube to fit your bike as this saves no end of time in the case of a puncture. We will have pumps, tyre levers and puncture repair kits. A waterproof is always a good idea but it's a fun ride to enjoy rather than endure so big smile most important accessory.

We meet outside the Boat and Horses pub on Trent Road Beeston NG9 1LP but don't park in the pub car park unless going for a drink later and have asked them first. Should be plenty of unregulated street parking in this area or if local why not come by bike.

Our pace will be that of the slowest so this is not one of those cycle club affairs, lycra is very optional but wear it if you must.

We will stop as and when needed but expect to stop for a drink at the end so those who need to get off can do so.

Longer and more adventurous rides can be planned if that is of interest.
