Hickory's Smokehouse... quiz!

There's no pub quiz quite like a quiz in a place that's not a pub. In the last year I've been to quizzes in a community centre, a golf club and an old folks' home. I'm thinking this venue, a Southern US style restaurant chain that has branches in both Gamston and Nuthall, will be even more exciting than those - and hopefully an attractive social night out?!

The Gamston one has a quiz every week rather than merely monthly which is more convenient, and £1 per person entry fee is better than £3. All proceeds go to the charity Cash For Kids. The winners' prize is a £100 Hickory’s voucher. I've booked a table for 8 at 6:30, half an hour before the quiz starts at 7:00. It will be under my name in the bar area where the quiz is held. Note: maximum team size is 6, so if our numbers remain over 6 we will have to split into two teams.

By all means have whatever food and drinks you like from the menu. There's plenty of parking at the venue and if you need public transport the NCT 6 to Gamston is exactly the thing - get off at Morrisons stop. Incidentally they say in their booking confirmation they "don’t allow any sports kits or fancy dress in our restaurant" - so no rugby jerseys or Spiderman costumes please. :D
