Details

A winter route, no stiles to climb over, hills and muddy footpaths kept to a minimum.
Heading out by footpath to Thorpe Acre, taking the “greenest” route to the centre of Loughborough. Passing through Radmore Park and Queens Park.
We will take a 30-minute break at the Organ Grinder pub.
Then pass the Great Central Railway onto the canal, which takes us all the way back to Dishley.

PARKING - There are several options. (see map)
*Derby road playing fields, a small free car park with a few spaces in mini laybys on the lane leading to it. This might be full due to the playing fields being used by local football teams.
*The large layby alongside “Lisa’s diner”.
*There are 2 small parking areas on Leslie Close and Francis Drive. I HAVE NOT CHECKED if they are for residents only.
*There are plenty of options for street parking on the estate where we start.
