What we’re about
Let's make the most of some of the great culture available in Nottingham. This group goes to see plays, comedy gigs, classical music, opera, ballet and anything else that takes our fancy. We aim to cast a wide net to cover both amateur and professional events, locally produced and touring productions.
Support the Arts! Venues and events need our patronage to keep going.

The Cat's Meow @ Lace Market Theatre
Lace Market Theatre, Halifax Place, Nottingham, GB"Based on the true story of a mysterious Hollywood death, The Cat's Meow offers us a fascinating cross section of Jazz Era characters who intersect for one notorious weekend in 1924, on board William Randolph Hearst's luxury yacht.
Sex and drugs and the Charleston!
The guest list includes film stars, writers, lawyers, money-men and the ever present frivolous flappers, but most notable of all, Charlie Chaplin himself, who has his own, more mischievous, ‘recreational’ motives for being on-board.
Hollywood wouldn’t be Hollywood if there weren’t a story of illicit love affairs, betrayal, substance abuse, cover-ups and murder. The Cat’s Meow suggests one of the more salacious theories of what might have happened to the Movie Mogul Thomas Ince, leading to his sudden and untimely death.
A stylish and sardonically funny exposé of corrupt Tinsel-town values; this darkly comic morality play is laced with clandestine romance, Hollywood excess, and steadily heating tensions."
Join me to celebrate my Birthday this week at our favourite theatre, watching the large cast entertain us with this 2009 play by Steven Peros. Interval ice cream will also be on the agenda.!

Bonington Players - Season's Greetings @ Bonington Theatre, Arnold
Bonington Theatre, Arnold Leisure Centre, High Street, Arnold, NG5 7EE, Nottingham, GB"When families get together to celebrate a special occasion, there’s a danger that all hell will break loose. Particularly if you happen to be trapped for several days with all your relatives and copious amounts of alcohol,
It is Christmas Eve in the home of Neville and Belinda Bunker. Belinda’s sister Rachel is waiting for her friend, novelist Clive, to arrive for a few days. Heavily pregnant Pattie and her husband Eddie are at loggerheads while in the kitchen Auntie Phyllis’s efforts to prepare the dinner are hampered by her drunken and clumsy antics. Her doctor husband Bernard’s seasonal highlight is his puppet theatre entertainment and retired security guard Uncle Harvey has a rather unseasonal stash of weapons with him.
Petty squabbles break out and some not so petty and that’s before you add to the mix, broken toys and creaking marriages
One of Ayckbourn’s finest plays. Come and watch this festive classic unravel!"
