What we’re about
Let's make the most of some of the great culture available in Nottingham. This group goes to see plays, comedy gigs, classical music, opera, ballet and anything else that takes our fancy. We aim to cast a wide net to cover both amateur and professional events, locally produced and touring productions.
Support the Arts! Venues and events need our patronage to keep going.

- Gaslight @ Lace Market TheatreThe Lace Market Theatre , Nottingham NG1 1QN
"A fogbound London, 1880. Bella Manningham lives an upper-middle-class existence but she is constantly on edge, in fear that she is losing her mind. The reproaches – and frequent disappearances – of her attractive but stern husband only increase her anxiety.
One night, another cause for concern comes knocking on her door – a private investigator who claims that Bella’s husband isn’t who he says she is, and that she is in very real danger. Who can Bella trust? Is she really losing her grip on reality?
Patrick Hamilton’s Gaslight is the dark and thrilling tale of a marriage shrouded in suspicion – a play whose power, proven by the recent usage of the term ‘Gas-lighting’, continues to reverberate."

"What happens when your husband leaves for a younger woman. Susan finds herself in exactly this position. She’s run the home, brought up her daughter and had a very busy life involved with charities and village-hall committees. What does she do now?
Fellow committee members offer all kinds of advice: resurrect an old flame, get a job, get fit, get a toy-boy . . . This very funny play follows Susan as she attempts a new start in life in the belief that ‘it’s never too late’ and finds herself presented with a most surprising choice to make."
