What we’re about
Let's make the most of some of the great culture available in Nottingham. This group goes to see plays, comedy gigs, classical music, opera, ballet and anything else that takes our fancy. We aim to cast a wide net to cover both amateur and professional events, locally produced and touring productions.
Support the Arts! Venues and events need our patronage to keep going.

It's Never Too Late @ Bonington Theatre, Arnold
Bonington Theatre, Arnold Leisure Centre, High Street, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 7EE, Nottingham, GB"What happens when your husband leaves for a younger woman. Susan finds herself in exactly this position. She’s run the home, brought up her daughter and had a very busy life involved with charities and village-hall committees. What does she do now?
Fellow committee members offer all kinds of advice: resurrect an old flame, get a job, get fit, get a toy-boy . . . This very funny play follows Susan as she attempts a new start in life in the belief that ‘it’s never too late’ and finds herself presented with a most surprising choice to make."

St Paul's Church, Daybrook, Church Drive, Daybrook, Daybrook, GB"Prepare to be mesmerized by the union of Irish tenor banjo and 5-string Bluegrass banjo, forging a sound that is as thrilling as it is unprecedented. This extraordinary collaboration of Damien O'Kane and Ron Block, showcases two of the most innovative banjo players and resonant singers in the world today. These 2 virtuosos are touring their third album Banjovial, out in October.
Damien (renowed for his work with Barnsley songstress Kate Rusby) a maestro of Irish traditional music, brings dazzling precision and melodic brilliance to the tenor banjo, an instrument central to his Irish roots and one in which he is considered one of the greatest players around the globe. Meanwhile, Ron Block, famed for his work with Alison Krauss & Union Station, infuses his signature 5-string Bluegrass banjo with soulful depth, rhythmic innovation, and unmatched artistry. Together, their styles intertwine in an exhilarating dance of technical mastery and heartfelt expression."I am very excited to see these 2 worldclass Masters of their instruments coming to Daybrook! Join me for this special gig. St Pauls is a nice venue for folk music, I've seen several concerts there.

The Lace Market Theatre , Halifax Place, Nottingham NG1 1QN, GB"Judy and Johnny's world seems perfect - a beautiful home, handcrafted cocktails, and a carefully curated life of domestic bliss. However, perfection often comes at a price. Behind the smiles and immaculate surfaces, tensions begin to simmer.
Home, I'm Darling is a sharp, stylish comedy with a layered take on nostalgia, feminism, and the complexities of relationships. It explores how we construct and cling to our own versions of reality, and what happens when those carefully built narratives start to unravel.Winner of The Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, Laura Wade's play is witty, thought-provoking and full of charm, inviting the audience to see life through rose-tinted glasses... but what happens when the dream doesn't quite match the reality?"

Bonington Theatre, Arnold Leisure Centre, High Street, Arnold, NG5 7EE, Nottingham, GB"Vivie Warren is a woman ahead of her time. Her mother, however, is a product of that old patriarchal order. Exploiting it has earned Mrs. Warren a fortune – but at what cost? Bernard Shaw’s incendiary moral classic explores the clash between morality and independence, traditions and progress.
Five-time Olivier Award winner Imelda Staunton (The Crown) joins forces with her real-life daughter Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) for the very first time, playing mother and daughter in this new production, filmed live from the West End."Runtime 117 minutes (no interval)
