Chess (the musical) @ Theatre Royal
Details
"Chess is a dramatic pop musical about chess champions caught in the crossfire of the Cold War. Set against political manipulation and espionage, the characters discover that love and personal loyalty are easily exploited when superpowers play for control.
Written by ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, alongside lyricist Sir Tim Rice, it has one of the best musical scores, featuring iconic tracks like "One Night in Bangkok" and "I Know Him So Well”.
Chess returns to the Nottingham Theatre Royal for the first time since 2010 in a new, reimagined production by the high standard company - Nottingham Operatic Society."
