Notts Dining Co-op

The Sumac Centre are hosting a group called Notts Dining Co-op serving a regular vegan meal on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month. It seems pretty jolly and I think we should check it out!

As with many other such projects such as the New Art Exchange's Thursday evening events it's intended as a community meal. In a similar way to that there is no fixed charge, you can pay what you like. They recommend £2 however. It's also an opportunity to meet other people in a cosy vegan-friendly space.

Past vegan offerings include paella, meatballs, tagine, enchiladas, tacos, biryani, pasta, falafel, dal, stir-fry, soup, lasagna and tikka masala. I don't know yet what it will be on the first of July but probably something different again.

I can't be sure but I imagine the Sumac bar will be open - all-vegan beers, ciders, wines and other alcoholic drinks, but of course you can also get hot drinks from the kitchen.
